What to prepare for the entrance examination

The entrance examination at the Pavel Kolář Center for Movement Medicine is always performed by a specialist in the field of rehabilitation medicine. Each of our team of experts places great emphasis on a comprehensive approach and subsequent individual care. The examination is a certain signpost for further care that we offer in our center.

It includes a detailed history focused on movement stereotypes both in sports and in normal activities. We ask about the circumstances of accidents, mechanisms of occurrence, their frequency and other connections. We try to root out movement habits that could lead to acute and chronic problems. As part of the anamnesis, we deal in detail with the patients' internal problems, infectious diseases or stressful situations in which they are currently found. Because precisely placing movement difficulties in the context of the patient's life is essential both for diagnosis and for further successful treatment.

Expertise and modern equipment

The high expertise of our experienced doctors and modern diagnostic equipment, which we have at our full disposal, such as X-ray, magnetic resonance, ultrasonography, help us to make the correct diagnosis.

As a supplement, we can include examination of the feet and spine using the Moiré system, spirometric or ergometric examination focused on cardiovascular performance.

Initial diagnosis and specialization

The initial diagnosis can also include a complete laboratory examination and indicative composition of the body by bioimpedance using the IN BODY system.

The advantage of our workplace is the availability of doctors of other specialties such as orthopedics, neurology, internal medicine, psychiatry and psychology, and a center for pain treatment. With their view of the patient, the views of these experts are an integral part of establishing a diagnosis and therapy.

After a preliminary diagnosis and possible therapeutic treatment, we plan further treatment with the patient.

Other therapeutic components are professionally guided physiotherapy and physical therapy .

Since our goal is not only the short-term elimination of difficulties, but work on long-term relief or the maximum possible change of stereotypes and the use of functional capacities, the patient can then continue to deepen the newly acquired skills even in training with a greater load or in an environment focused on individual sports within the framework of physiofitness principle .
