Physical education medicine - Sports examinations
Our sports examinations are focused on minimising potential risks and proposing load supercompensation. A physical education doctor will assess your health and determine what sports load is best for you.
The examination includes a detailed history, a physical examination of the whole body, a resting ECG and a stress test.
Examinations are suitable for both competitive and recreational athletes. We cooperate with leading Czech sports clubs, associations and individuals. We provide annual sports examinations for everyone. Be examined by experts who take care of top Czech athletes.
Your health and safety in sports is our priority, whether you need a confirmation note for a sports club or you are looking for a solution to your weight problems. Visit us and enjoy sports with peace of mind in the certainty that your body will receive the right care.
Sports examinations for your health and performance
Basic sports examination
This is intended for children with a height of up to 140cm, or for clients who do not require a stress test. It provides a basic evaluation of the state of health, which is especially important for children participating in sports activities. The basic examination consists of family history, physical examination, assessment of a resting ECG and resting blood pressure.

Again, this is an extension of the previous inspection, where exhaled air is also analysed as part of the stress test (with a mask on the face) and its output gives an accurate assessment of endurance fitness using a measurement of maximum oxygen consumption (VO2max).

Performance test
A performance test is required during the entrance examination for health-demanding disciplines (such as combat sports with full contact, rugby, motoring, endurance swimming, endurance races lasting more than 2 hours, diving, paragliding, high-altitude expeditions, long-distance sea yachting competitions , competitions under extreme conditions). Furthermore, a performance test is required for top athletes who are in a national team or are preparing for it. Last but not least, a performance test may also be required by a sports club, sports association or race organiser.
Analysis of examination results and important instructions for passing
The results of all the above examinations will be evaluated in detail by the attending physician and based on them you will be provided with the correct recommendations. There may be a situation when the attending physician requests another specialised examination before the final conclusion, so that we can do our best to reduce potential risks during sports. For more demanding clients who are interested in a detailed evaluation of their performance at the level of top athletes, we recommend our sports physiology practice.
These tests are an important tool for anyone who values their health and wants to achieve the best sports performance. Our team of doctors and specialists will provide you with professional care and thoroughly evaluate the results. Investigations are based on the latest scientific knowledge and are carried out with a high degree of accuracy. Our experts will then help you interpret the results and provide you with individual advice and recommendations for achieving your sporting goals.
An essential condition for an examination by a physical education doctor is the absence of an acute infectious disease (including runny nose, cough, etc.).
When you come to us for this examination for the first time, you need to bring a statement from the documentation from your registered health care provider, which is a general practitioner for children and adolescents or a general practitioner for adults. During regular annual sports inspections (which is the standard period of validity of the inspection), you no longer need to bring the statement from the documentation.
