Gastroenterology - Reflux Centre
At the Pavel Kolář Centre for Movement Medicine, we approach gastroenterology in a new and unique way. In 2019, we opened a special reflux centre which represents a revolutionary approach to the treatment of reflux disease of the esophagus.
A unique approach
The main impulse to create a reflux centre was the desire to provide comprehensive care and above all a unique combination of medical and physiotherapy care. This integrated approach allows us to view the patient individually and focus on eliminating the cause of the disease, not just its symptoms.
Diagnostics at the highest level
Thanks to state-of-the-art methods, such as 24-hour esophageal pH monitoring with impedance and high resolution esophageal manometry, we are able to diagnose not only esophageal reflux disease and its severity, but also other esophageal motility diseases, such as achalasia.

Comprehensive therapeutic approach
Our therapeutic approach includes the evaluation of the risks leading to the development of reflux disease of the esophagus and the effort to eliminate them. What is key, however, is the involvement of specialised physiotherapy, which can also treat the cause of the disease itself.

Our advanced technical background and highly trained team of experts ensure that each patient receives individual and focused treatment which meets their needs.
Gastro card
A special Gastro card is available for clients of the Reflux Centre which allows access to this specialised care for a period of twelve months. The Gastro card is a ticket to high-quality treatment, tailored to the needs of each individual patient.
