MUDr. Lucie Zdrhová lectured at a prestigious course in Vienna

News - 2024-12-02

At the end of November (28-30.11.), an intensive course on motility diseases of the esophagus and stomach – Masterclass on Oesophagogastric Motility and Function 2024 – was held in Vienna under the auspices of the European Society of Gastroenterology (UEG), where European experts in the investigation and treatment of diseases of the esophagus and stomach gathered and who shared their experience with young doctors (primarily gastroenterologists, but also surgeons) from different parts of Europe. One of the lecturers was also doctor Lucie Zdrhová, who works with patients with reflux esophageal disease (RCHJ) in our center and who presented the effect of physiotherapy in the treatment of this disease at the course and at the same time introduced the techniques used in our workplace. Rehabilitation and diaphragmatic breathing have become a highly sought-after treatment procedure for patients with reflux symptoms, and we are pleased that our center is making a significant contribution to the international dissemination and general understanding of the great importance of physiotherapy for patients with GERD.
