cardiologist / angiologist
MUDr. Miroslav Vítovec is an experienced cardiologist and angiologist with 35 years of experience in important Czech workplaces. He completed several internships abroad. He is the author of the recommendations for duplex sonography for the Czech Society of Cardiology and Czech Angiology. He is a member of the Czech Cardiology Society and has been repeatedly elected to the committee of the Echocardiography Society. He is a member of the Czech Angiology Society and in previous terms of office he was elected to the society's committee and is the chairman of the Duplex Sonography Working Group. He is on the board of the District Association for Prague 4, Czech Medical Chamber. He has certifications in internal medicine, cardiology and angiology. He is licensed in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Angiology, Esophageal Echocardiography and is an Esophageal Echocardiography Trainer.
Education
In 1998, he defended the scientific rank of candidate of sciences at the Czech Academy of Sciences. From 1986, he worked at the IKEM Cardiology Clinic in Prague, where he focused on non-invasive cardiology (valvular defects and echocardiography) and vascular examination. Since 2006, he has worked at II. Internal Clinic - Department of Cardiology and Angiology, General University Hospital in Prague, 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University as head of department and as a specialist echocardiographer. He is the author of 67 scientific works at home and abroad, of which 7 were published with a high impact factor, and is the co-author of three monographs.
He regularly presents original works and lectures at cardiology and angiology congresses in the Czech Republic and abroad.
He is the centre's chief investigator for 11 international clinical pharmaceutical studies, of which 9 studies have been successfully completed and 3 are still ongoing at the Centre for Clinical Studies MEDISCAN Group, s.r.o.
Practice
He now works as a cardiologist and angiologist specialist at the Pavel Kolář Centre for Movement Medicine, at the workplace of MEDISCAN GROUP, s.r.o. and at Vršovická zdravotní a.s. as the head physician of the cardiology clinic. He closely cooperates with Medacor, s.r.o. and AVICENA – chirurgie s.r.o.
