As part of his postgraduate education, Michal Truc has participated in many professional courses such as Vojt's method for the therapy of adults and children (2001-2003), an instructor's course in myoskeletal medicine by Prof. K. Lewita (1997-2001), a DNS instructor course by Prof. Kolář, Functional disorders of the orofacial system by Dr. Scaggs (ST. Louis, Missouri), Trigger point therapy by Prof. Simons (Decalb Medical Center, Atlanta USA), quadrupedal locomotion course by Klapp, Kinesiotaping, non-invasive laser and magnetic field therapy course, myoskeletal sonography course, fascial manipulation course 1st st. according to Stecco.
Michal works intensively with athletes. Since 2003, he has been working as a physiotherapist and a member of the implementation team for the national cross-country team. As a physiotherapist, he participated in the World Championships in Val di Fiemme, Obersdorf, Sapporo and the Olympic Games in Turin in 2006.
Since 2010, Michal has been a member of the implementation team for the national ice hockey team and participated in the Olympics in Sochi in 2014 and in Seoul in 2018. He also accompanied the Czech ice hockey team to a number of World Championships (Manheim, Cologne, Bratislava, Stockholm, Helsinki, Minsk, Prague and others)
Michal has been a certified DNS instructor since 2001 and participates in the teaching of clinical and sports DNS courses in the Czech Republic and abroad, specialising in the application of DNS to hockey players and cross-country skiers.
Practice
Michal worked for eleven years at the outpatient and inpatient departments of the Rehabilitation and Physical Education Clinic in Motol hospital (2000-2011), where he worked closely with the neurology and ENT clinic and focused on the therapy of dizziness and balance disorders. Since 2011, he has been working as a physiotherapist at the Pavel Kolář Centre for Movement Medicine.
