Practice
During my studies at the Faculty of Medicine I became interested in prevention - I regularly participated in events such as the Teddy Bear Hospital, Health Days, or the prevention of the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases with a focus on the fight against HIV/AIDS. I have repeatedly completed internships in Germany (Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Hoyerswerda) and Austria (Vienna – Allgemeines Krankenhaus) in various specialisations in order to learn as much as possible about medicine and real practice in nearby countries too.
Since I discovered that I'm interested in parts of every medical field and I like a general overview both in life and in medicine, the choice of specialisation over time became more than clear - general practice medicine. I'm glad to say that it's still true and that this interest still hasn't left me. I never miss the opportunity to learn something new, either from colleagues in the healthcare sector or even from the patients themselves. In the ambulatory sector, it is possible to pay more attention to the patient than in a hospital, to solve their problems from the start and so prevent a number of diseases. However, cooperation and mutual trust are necessary, which a doctor has the opportunity to build during repeated contact with a patient.
