MUDr. Alexandra Dlouhá Maršálková

After university I worked as an anesthesiologist and intensivist at the General University Hospital in Prague where I acquired practical skills in acute medicine but I also had the opportunity to learn many invasive procedures and injection techniques, which I benefit from in my rehabilitation practice.

My love for sports and healthy movement led me to rehabilitation and physical medicine. Here I have the opportunity to not only work with injuries and degenerative changes to the musculoskeletal system, but I can also study movement in all its aspects, including psychosocial factors.

I specialise in the sonographic diagnosis of the musculoskeletal system and also perform ultrasound-guided scans of joints, soft tissues and the spine.

After the birth of my two daughters, I became more interested in gynecological and urogynecological issues. Now I am expanding my education to gynecological physiotherapy and sonographic examination of the muscles of the pelvic floor and the soft tissues of the perineum.
