I knew that I wanted to be a doctor since elementary school. I originally wanted to be a neurologist, my predecessor at CPM MUDr directed me to the path of a rehabilitation doctor. Vítězslav Hradil, to whom I thank for this.
I have devoted my entire professional life to clinical practice at the bedside and in the outpatient clinic. Even if it doesn't look like it at first glance, musculoskeletal rehabilitation medicine affects all medical (clinical) fields and significantly affects the patient's overall lifestyle. , movement recommendations and modification of movement activity so that problems associated with pain are prevented, do not recur or at least do not occur in the original intensity.
After the attestation, I started to educate myself in acupuncture, which helped me look at a person and his problems (difficulties) from a holistic perspective and can sometimes help where classical medicine fails.
The basis of quality (good) and comprehensive therapy (care) is a detailed anamnesis and a thorough examination of the patient. That's why lately I've been working on sonography of the musculoskeletal system, which becomes an "extended hand" of the rehabilitation doctor and is already part of the clinical examination and monitoring of the course of treatment.
In practice, it helps us to precisely determine the location of the lesion, develop an adequate targeted individual rehabilitation program, monitor and evaluate the course and effectiveness of therapy, correct treatment in time and thus shorten the length of rehabilitation. Mini-invasive interventions under ultrasound control are much more accurate and efficient.
