Pavel Kolář was born in Prague in 1963. He is married and has two sons and a daughter, living with his family not far from Prague. He has been the head physician at the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles’ University since 1999 and the subdean of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles’ University since 2008.
He is the founder of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation and the author of the comprehensive specialised book Rehabilitation in Clinical Practice (“Rehabilitace v klinické praxi” in the original Czech). He has also published over 140 specialised articles in Czech and foreign magazines and has participated in a number of other specialised books as co-author.
He teaches at universities in the Czech Republic and abroad and holds a medal of merit for teaching work and scientific activity (2003) and a medal of merit for education and science (2007). He was voted teacher of the year at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles’ University in 2009 and works as a member of several science companies.
He has also enjoyed considerable success working as part of the executive team for Czech national sporting sides (ice hockey, football, athletics, tennis, etc.).
