Pavel Kolář

Pavel Kolář was born in Prague in 1963. He is married and has two sons and a daughter. He has worked as a head physician at the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine at Charles´ University.  In 2008 he became the sub-dean of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine at Charles´ University.

He is a founder of the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation concept and author of the comprehensive specialised book Rehabilitace v klinické praxi (Rehabilitation in Clinical Practice). He has published over 140 papers in Czech as well as foreign magazines and has cooperated on several other professional books as co-author.

He teaches at universities in the Czech Republic and abroad and is an awardee of the Medal of Merit for pedagogical and scientific activity (2003) and the Medal of Merit for education and science (2007). He was voted Teacher of the year at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles´ University in 2009 and works as a member of several science institutes.

He has also achieved considerable success working as part of the executive team for Czech national sports teams (ice-hockey, football, athletics, tennis etc.)
